EMPOWERING ACCESS TO BASIC
MEDICAL & LEGAL SUPPORT

For those who don’t have insurance, have financial limitations, or lack proper guidance

Community Access Foundation (CAF)

Supporting Those Who Don’t Have Medical Insurance With Access to Basic Medical Needs

Community Access Foundation (CAF) is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on supporting individuals who do not have medical insurance by providing access to basic medical needs through participating local providers.

CAF operates through a Community Participation Program supported by a growing network of participating medical providers. Through this program, members receive access to basic medical needs through participating providers within the community network.

CAF operates as a community-supported initiative. It is not insurance and does not replace medical or legal insurance coverage.

Program Highlights
• Access to basic medical needs through participating providers
• Community Participation Credits (CPC) supporting eligible members
• Community participation model

Providing Access to Basic Medical and Legal Support Through Our Community Model

CAF operates through a structured community participation system.

Each member contributes toward a shared support framework. Contributions are internally recorded within the Community Participation Credit (CPC) system, and members may inquire about their CPC status when needed.

When a member faces difficulty accessing medical or legal consultation, support is activated in alignment with participation levels and available community resources.

This model is built on:

  • Member participation through CPC
  • Community resources
Community Access Foundation

Through this model, CAF ensures that assistance is activated responsibly and in accordance with member participation.

Allocate Community Participation to Help Others

Your Community Participation Credits (CPC) reflect your involvement in sustaining the shared support system.
As an active member, you have the ability to allocate your accumulated participation toward supporting another individual within the community.

This ensures help is guided by trust, responsibility, and informed choice.

🔁 You Decide How to Support

  • Allocate your accumulated CPC to support a verified community member

  • Support individuals based on your judgment and confidence

  • All allocations are recorded transparently and securely

  • Participation history remains visible in your personal dashboard

Every allocation strengthens the integrity of the community support process.

🔍 Transparency That Builds Trust

We believe meaningful support comes through openness and accountability.
That’s why participation tracking and allocation remain transparent — empowering members while maintaining organizational oversight through a structured review process.

Support is extended in alignment with community guidelines and available resources.

One Community. Shared Responsibility.

Participate consistently, strengthen the support system, and help where it matters most.
Because here, community participation creates lasting impact.

CAF is supported by an Advisory Committee of experienced professionals who provide guidance and strategic oversight to ensure responsible growth and integrity.

Community Protection

Small daily contribution. Shared community protection.

When medical systems become confusing or slow, patients often don’t know where to turn. Our patient navigation support helps individuals and families move through the healthcare process without delay or fear.

We assist by:

  • Helping patients understand their medical options during urgent situations

  • Guiding them through hospitals, clinics, referrals, and follow-up care

  • Supporting individuals facing insurance gaps, denials, or paperwork delays

  • Reducing confusion so care can begin as quickly as possible

Our goal is simple: no one should miss treatment because the system is hard to navigate.

Many people delay seeking help not because they don’t need it, but because they lack clear information or fear high costs.

Our education and outreach efforts focus on:

  • Raising awareness about medical and legal access options

  • Helping communities understand their rights and available resources

  • Reducing fear around seeking care or legal guidance

  • Providing clear, easy-to-understand information during critical moments

By improving understanding, we help people act sooner — before situations become crises.

Support services are activated when individuals face urgent medical or legal situations and cannot manage the burden alone.

Our support services may include:

  • Emergency coordination during medical or legal crises

  • Temporary financial assistance for essential medical or legal needs

  • Support during gaps caused by job loss, policy lapse, or delayed approvals

  • Immediate intervention while long-term solutions are being arranged

We focus on timely, practical support — helping people stabilize during their most vulnerable moments.

Service Access & Point Redemption

Services under Latino Asian Welfare Association (CAF) are available only to members through the redemption of points.

Points are earned at the rate of 1 point for every $25 contributed as a membership fee or donation.

Points are designed to remain flexible and community-centered:

Points may be transferred to another member.

One or more members may pool their points to support someone else.

Donors may gift points to members who have a shortage of points.

WHY CAF

Because when systems fail families, communities must rise together.

Rising insurance costs are leaving many families uninsured or underinsured.
Even working families face difficulty accessing timely medical and legal help.

CAF exists to help communities support one another through shared participation and collective protection.
